Resources for the Assessment of Human
Functioning and Disability
For more than 10 years we have been working side by side with professionals, teams and institutions that care for people with different chronic health conditions.
Our goal is to help people with disabilities achieve the highest levels of autonomy, recovery and quality of life possible.
To do this we adopt a person-centred and evidence-based approach.
What can you find here
On this website we present all relevant information about the BECAD and ECADI batteries, developed by our group. They are based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF), which is part of the World Health Organisation’s family of health classifications.
The Battery for Assessment of Capability and Performance (BECAD) is aimed at measuring functioning and disability in adults. It is a registered tool and is part of the patent portfolio of the Generalitat Valenciana (Spain).
It has been developed by researchers at the Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, (Spain) led by Dr. Micaela Moro.
The ECADI is the children’s version of the BECAD. We are currently starting its validation and application to children with autism spectrum disorder. On this website we will publish the results of the project as they are produced.
In the public part of the website we publish the results of the research projects.
Subscribers can administer and correct the scales. The web application generates downloadable reports. You can also access tutorials and other training materials about the ICF and our assessment batteries. These will make it easier for you to use our tools.
